Fine Food Supplier Cotswold Fayre Surprises Customers with a Mystery Shopper Experience
Posted: 23/06/2009
This year the gourmet, organic and fine food distributor, Cotswold Fayre, is celebrating 10 successful years in business. To mark the occasion, the company is offering a free mystery shop to all their customers.
Cotswold Fayre was originally established by Paul Hargreaves as the distribution arm of a number of small Cotswold based companies. After considerable growth the company can today offer their customers around 1500 different products, including speciality foods such as; food gifts, organic food, chocolates, cereals, snacks, cakes, condiments, gluten free food products etc – all provided by small independent suppliers that take great pride in their product.
Cotswold Fayre prides itself on a high level of friendly customer service to their ever-increasing customer base of farm shops, delicatessens, garden centres, cafes, gift shops and restaurants. In the current business climate the importance of providing an excellent shopping experience every time to every customer cannot be emphasised enough, however, some businesses don’t realise that their staff may be their most important marketing tool.
In association with ‘Shopper Anonymous’ Cotwold Fayre is now offering a free mystery shop worth £125 for customers who see a sales representative and place a Christmas order on or before 31st July 2009. Placing a Christmas order early will allow Cotswold Fayre customers to be well prepared for the most important business period of the year. When a sales representative visits the customer they can give tailor made advice for each specific customer and offer tips on new and suitable products, displays and merchandising and how to get the mix right between ‘gifty’ and ‘christmassy’ products.
Once the order has been placed the customer can expect a mystery shopper to visit the business anytime, behaving and acting just like a normal customer. The mystery shopper will assess their customer service right from parking their car in the car park through to picking up their bags at the checkout. Once their visit is completed a feedback report is produced, which allows the business to review their team’s performance.
